Michael (Mike/Danny) Dane Egdahl, loving husband, father of two children and “Grandpa” to five grand kids, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12th, surrounded by his family at the age of 73.

Mike was born Oct 2, 1945 in Norman, OK to his parents Whitie and Roberta Burch Egdahl. As a child, Mike moved to Junction City, KS with his stepfather Herman Leeper and Mike’s mother Roberta. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1963. Mike left college early to join the US Navy, where he spent four years on the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt as a machinist mate and fireman. After the Navy, he moved to Tulsa, OK, where he was a firefighter for many years. The latter years of his career were dedicated to the automotive business, both in the Dallas area, and for the last thirty years at the Dealers Auto Auction in OKC. Mike was also a trained pilot, licensed for various aircraft types. His patriotism didn’t go away after his naval career. He was a lifelong patriot who followed public affairs passionately. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Mike was a faithful husband and loving father who loved and provided well for his family. He was an honest and dependable man, whose actions were proof of his faith. He was excited to share his faith in Christ with many others. He and his wife Debbie were members of Mosaic Church in Warr Acres.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Whitie Egdahl and Roberta Leeper and by his step- father, Herman Leeper. Surviving him are his wife, Debbie Davis Egdahl of the home; his son, Tate Egdahl and his wife Brittney of OKC; his daughter Cami Bauman and her husband Tom of Tampa, FL, and two stepsons, Austin Davis and Tyler Davis, both of OKC; also, one Sister, Carrol Clark and her husband Bob of Kansas City, MO.
