Obituary for Stanley Dobbs

Viewing & visitation will be Thursday & Friday from 4-8 PM with family greeting friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary at South Lakes 4000 S. W. 119th OKC 73173. Funeral service to celebrate and honor his life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Newcastle Church of the First Born with burial following at Heritage Burial Park in Oklahoma City, OK.

Stanley Wayne Dobbs went to be with his Heavenly father on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the age of 70. Stanley was born in Oklahoma City on April 4, 1949 to Bill & Annis Dobbs. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City Stan graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1967. Following graduation, Stan enlisted in the United States Army & served unitl he was honorably discharged in 1969 following two tours of duty in Vietnam. Stan had worked alongside his father in the construction business for several years as well as working with his brother in law at Yudon Construction. Stan eventually went into the construction business for himself and later found his niche in the security, alarm & monitoring business today know as Central Systems located in Oklahoma City. A lifelong member of the General Assembly & Church of the First Born, he assembled at the Newcastle General Assembly and Church of the First Born.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents.Bill and Annis Dobbs; first wife Donnavee (Neal) Dobbs; grandsons Mitchell and Silas Dobbs, daughter in law Patricia “Trish” Dobbs; one brother Dennis Dobbs.

He is survived by his loving wife Janie of the home; children Rodney Dobbs of Oklahoma City, Donnavee Wilkinson of Oklahoma city, Donnell & wife Pamela Dobbs of Sapulpa, Robert Dobbs of Oklahoma City and Stanson Dobbs and wife Solongo Tsogbaator of Germany, Jason Williams of Amber, OK Grandchildren Syndey, Nicholas, Mackenzie, Violet, Matthew, Molly, Sakari & Jesslyn and two sisters Debbie Carter and Carolyn Fischer and one sister in law Jennie Dobbs.
