Obituary for Anna Mae Deere (Johnson)

Viewing will be 4-8 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 and 12-8 PM Sunday, September 8, 2019.

Services to celebrate Anna's life will be 10 AM Monday, September 9, 2019, with Reverend Alvin Deer officiating, in the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel, with burial at 2 PM in the Johnson Family Cemetery.

Anna entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the age of 94. The daughter of Bennie F. & Mary (Lowe) Johnson, was born on May 22, 1925 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. After graduating from Bowlegs High School she attended Oklahoma City University. She married Luther Deere and the two settled in Oklahoma City, where they raised their family while Anna worked as a secretary for the Oklahoma Board of Education. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. They were the center of her life. Anna enjoyed crocheting, and gifting her works to her family. Her presence on this earth will be cherished forever.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, Luther Deere, who passed June 22, 1982
Brothers: Silas & Franklin Johnson

She leaves behind her loving family:
Daughter, Edith “Scottye” Davis
Sons; Michael Deere and his wife Karen; and William Deere
Grandchildren: Ben & Ann Davis; Casey Adams; Jason Deere; Kelley & Husband Marcelino Olivarez.
Great Grandchildren; Christopher, Breanna, Bruce, Lina, Marey, & Marcelino.
One Great-great grandchild Adrian.
