Obituary for L. J. Scarberry

LJ Scarberry went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 13, 2019. LJ was born August 19th, 1942 to Lewis and Martha Scarberry of Nashoba, Ok. LJ grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma in his late teens he moved to OKC where he met his first love Euleta and were blessed with two children Ron “Wade” and Brenda.
Then family moved to Yukon in 1971 where LJ worked in the transportation industry managing the service department and retiring from Southwest Trailers and Equipment.
In his retirement, LJ attended Heritage Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. LJ leaves behind his wife Jo Ann, brothers Tony and Kenneth Scarberry, sister Mamie Jo Anderson, Son and Daughter-in-law Ron and Barbara Scarberry of Piedmont, daughter Brenda Scarberry of Yukon, Step – Daughters Donna Freeman of Broken Bow and Tee Estep of Tulsa; Grandchildren Kyle, Alicia, Travis, Hannah, Mike, Cam, Lynn, Sissy and Courtney as well as 6 great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Euleta, siblings ML, Emmitt, Bessie and Wanda as well as his granddaughter Rachel Scarberry.
LJ will be missed by a host of friends and family.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday Oct. 17th 1:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church. Visitation is 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, family will be greeting visitors from 5 to 6 pm.
