Debra Sue Fenity passed away at home on December 22, surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was born in Seneca, Kansas, on May 15, 1957, to Patsy and Keith Dowdell. Growing up, she lived in Oklahoma City, Yukon, and Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1976. Through her work, she met her husband Larry in 1980. Debbie and Larry were married in October 1981 and recently celebrated 38 years of marriage.
Debbie and Larry were blessed with two beautiful children, Kara Elizabeth and Andrew Lawrence. Debbie always wanted to be a mother, and she was so proud of her two babies and talked with both daily. She was also blessed with Kara’s husband Ky and Ky’s daughter Kylee and with Andrew’s wife Kortney and their daughter Aniya Grace.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother Pat Dowdell, her daughter Kara, son-in-law Ky, step-granddaughter Kylee, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Kortney, and granddaughter Aniya. Debbie is also survived by her sister Montie Ann and sister-in-law Marcia, and by her husband and best friend Larry.
Memorial service to be held at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on December 31, 2019, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The GCS Project (gcsproject.org/donate) to further research for uterine carcinosarcoma or to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
