Obituary

William “Bill” Walter Warren III was born November 6th 1931 in Oklahoma City and passed away on December 29, 2019 at the age of 88. He was the oldest son of WW Warren Jr and Elizabeth Jane Faris. Bill grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School. After graduation he joined the family business with his father and grandfather to run Warren Transfer and Storage. Warren Transfer operated in Oklahoma City for over 100 years.

Bill was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and competitor. He took his friends and grandsons to his land in Erick, OK often on his treasured Ponderosa. While he worked to help many civic organization develop competitive baseball and softball leagues, his true passion was coaching and cheering for his family on any athletic stage. He was always the biggest fan, the loudest voice and the first to tell you about any and all accomplishments of his family. He coached most of his kids and grandkids little league baseball teams. He loved old cars and collected classic mustangs which he generously gifted each of his grandchildren for their 16th birthdays.

His family was everything to him, he was a loving and competent patriarch and leader. He passed away surrounded by his daughters, many grandchildren and close friends. He is survived by his daughters Jani LeForce and husband Roy, and Heidi Moore and husband Bill; his stepchildren Kristie Detwilier and husband Ned, Jan McCall, Michelle Rice Lane and Jeff Ruscha; his grandchildren Josh Lawson and wife Jayme, Lyndsey Phillips and husband Ryan, Price Caldwell, Blake Caldwell, Isaac Benson, Chelsea Cunningham, Ronnie Natale and wife Jasmin, Warren Cunningham and wife Christina; Sydney Turner, Christy Williams and husband Reian, Elizabeth Norman, Mary Ann Silva, Mykael Story and husband Brandon, Amy Clark and husband Paul, Dirk Bell, and Cody McCall; his great grandchildren Easton, Brooklyn, Charli, Kamdyn, Karter, Monroe, Walker and Collins; and his very best friends Bobbie and Harry Eberhardt.

A Memorial Service and celebration of Bill,(Dad & Papa) will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020, at Life Church in Oklahoma City (Penn and 178th location). 2001 NW 178th Street Edmond, OK 73012

Myself as well as the rest of my family owe the entire Warren family. They not only employed my father but myself as well. My father Carl Hall and Billy worked together in the 50's and early 60's. When I was fresh out of the service Billy hired me and at his expense taught me to drive a truck. You could say that truck driving did not come naturally to me. Several accidents and numerous nervous work days never phased Billy. I'd have fired me week one. Thanks Billy and thank you to your family
