Some of my earliest and fondest memories of Aunt Ida Mary were where she and Uncle Bill on the Duroc farm in Newcastle or the acreage in Moore. The first time I had tree ripe peaches & fresh (milked cow) cream was because of her. It was just like her - the peaches and cream - sweet and pure. The same time I remember eating my first “Pecan Sandie” cookies which Uncle Bill loved – now I love all of them too – peaches & cream – cookies with pecans. Ida Mary - Always the sweetest – most understanding – most truthful - loving person – her kind words were always what we needed! Just right! HEAVEN & EARTH are Rejoicing! Though we have lost a dear friend, person & loved one (!!!) She’s reunited with all of her Williams’s family – mom, dad and sisters and brothers – I believe she told me she was the last – of the Williams siblings. So many Barton’s sisters’- all of them love her dearly – Alvine – Mary Nell – Rachel –Bernice; likewise Barton brothers-in-law Gene, Robert – Henry - Bob – Mancil, Pete – Don; Poppa William Hubbard Barton & Grandma Annie (Rex) Barton – And Barton Cousins – Dennis, Maurice & Larry, Mary Ann and Shirley who have all Graduated to Heaven. AND Connie and Bill Barton – “Billy” as his sisters called him. Ida Mary - She is ALIVE and WELL IN OUR SAVIORS LORD JESUS CHRIST ARMS!!!!!! GLORY TO GOD!!!...And so many others who have Graduated – to Heaven! … To put it simply she was a peacemaker…with such a beautiful soul…”Blessed are the peacemakers for they are called the children of God” Matthew 5:9. This too is Aunt Ida Mary – proverbs 31. And especially verse 26 from my point of view “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and her tongue is the law of kindness”. Some of the last times I saw her was at the Sommer Set Assisted Living – she was eating lunch with several ladies – many were dressed, decked and bejeweled – but I could tell they had known her for such a short time but they all treasured her – just as we do!!! What a lovely countenance and sprit she has! The last time I saw her a week before she passed and she was sleeping, wrapped in a blanket from head to toe – snuggled in. Soon she was dreaming, talking in her sleep sharing - her joy and wisdom. Should I wake her? I was reminded of my 50 year friend Wilt Conine as I went to visit him the evening before his Morning Graduation. His two daughters were confused and expressing “DAD Wake U” – thoughts of ‘look who’s here’ and ‘he’ll bring you laughter’, and the other one said adamantly “NO Let Him Sleep” – ‘if he’s rested he will come back to be us with strengthened’. I prayed and texted David to see what he thought – I texted that I did not know whether to wake her as I was also reminded of my teenage brother Larry who did not like to be awakened – he’d come up fighting - so I’d throw a shoe at him and run! He said it was OK to wake her up – But I was gone to see Aunt Lucille and Aunt Phyllis! I can’t wait to see her – up there – I do not need to awaken her – CHRIST Just Did to Beulah Land!!! Oh what a Beautiful Soul – IS IDA MARY!!! PTL!!!
