Dad, What fun we had in your lorry 🚚 when I was young. Traveling miles, delivering bricks and animal feed. You teaching me to drive when I could hardly reach the pedals. What fun we had at football. You were a great player and I was proud to play alongside you. You picking me up and carrying me back to the halfway line when I scored my first goal for Souldern is a memory I cherish. The great time we had as a family with you in America. The parties we arranged for you back here with people you had not seen for years. Putting you up. Margaret cooking, washing and cleaning for you.

Sidney was such a wonderful person. He always had a smile on his face and was always whistling a happy tune of sorts. My heartfelt condolences to his family. I will miss seeing him.

What a joy it was to have our beloved customer, Sid, come into our bank, First United. He was always a ray of sunshine and a blessing to talk to and visit with. We loved his accent, talking about his visit to England to see family, his love of his "football" and his love of OU! The most precious thing was to listen to him about his sweet wife, Joni! That was pure love! Thank you GOD for sharing him with us! Thoughts & Prayers to Joni & the whole family! Mary Ann & the First United Staff

God gained a great funny man. The short time I knew you Sid it was some of the best memories. You always had a funny line (when I could understand them). You always made people feel like you had known them for years. Always a smile on your face with a positive attitude. The first time we met on the golf course I remember you saying to me “Can’t hit the ball very far but bloody he^^l its something to do with friends.” Then I said something about food at the turn and you know he was in on that. Friendship grew from that day forward. There will not be a weekend that goes by I won’t think about those laughs on Sunday afternoon at Louie’s thinking “what would Sid say right now”. Going to miss you like crazy but I know you are up in heaven giving them fits. Love you my friend.

Where do I begin? What do I say?
Gramps, you were such a tremendous personality and it does not seem possible that you’re no longer here. I almost expected you to out live us all, to live forever. I guess you will do in the hearts and memories of all who knew you.
Thank you for loving me so much and making me proud to say I was your granddaughter! Thank you for being you, for your sense of humour and for your energy! You lived life to the full and were the youngest 92 year old I have ever known! Even in hospital, you were smiling, laughing and singing! What a chap!!!
You loved us all so completely and there will never be anyone like you! You brought such a wonderful woman in our lives when you married Joni and I promise you that we will do our absolute best to make sure she knows that she is just as loved as you!
I still have the dollar note that you wrote on for me all those years ago, I remember thinking it was riches but now I know it is one of my most valuable possessions! It still doesn’t feel real, how can you not be here any more? We’ve always had our Gramps and the miles have melted away whenever we saw each other. You have taken a piece of us with you to heaven, but I know we will see you again. Until then, ‘Who loves ya baby?!’ Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
