Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the South Colonial Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

James, 91, went to be with his Heavenly father on Monday, February 24, 2020. The son of David Ellsworth and Lenny “Floy” (Richards) Watson, he was born September 30, 1928 in Antioch, Oklahoma. James graduated from Maysville High School before joining the United State Army and honorably served his country from November 1950 to November 1952. On December 23, 1953, James married his one true love, Opal Christine Childress and together shared 66 years of marriage together. This union of marriage was blessed with 2 children. In addition to being a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather, James also worked as a salesman for Sears Automotive for 26 years, worked at a golf course for 20 years, drove a truck for Mobile Oil Company for 13 years and owned his gas station in Midwest City. James also found the time to coach little league baseball. James enjoyed golfing and gardening, but nothing was as important as being with his family whom he loved with all of his heart. James was known for his friendly personality and will be remembered as kind and loving. He loved and cared deeply for his family and he will be held close to our hearts each day.

He was preceded in death by his:
Parents, David and Floy Watson;
Pepper, his beloved Dalmatian.

James leaves behind his loving family:
Wife, Opal;
Son, Gary Watson and his wife Dawn;
Daughter, Lisa Morris and her husband Ron;
Grandchildren, Ronnie Morris Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Matthew Morris and his wife, Susan, Brett Watson and his wife, Callie and Brooke Byler and her husband, Justin;
Great Grandchildren, Avery and Ellie Morris, Mitchell and Elizabeth Morris, Amilee and Hendrix Watson and Reed Byler;
Many other extended family & friends.
