To the Solis family, we extend our deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear loved one. We were very fortunate to work with Vickey for many years at Oklahoma City Community College and was so blessed to have known her and to experience her compassion, love, and support for everyone who crossed her path. She was truly a wonderful person, and her sweet memory will live on in all those whose life she touched.

Vickey Solis was an individual who always put others before herself. During her tenure at, and long standing exceptional service to Oklahoma City Community College, she was the glue that bound the Physical Plant/Facilities Management Department together as one. For every Facilities Management employee's birthday , to celebrate (her idea and initiative) , Vickey would make her famous jello fruit salad and sheet cake. She took her own personal time, ingredients, resources, and effort to execute the opportunity. Everyone in Facilities would be brought together as a family and we celebrated our appreciation for one another as a team, and for me, my second family. There were a lot of employees in Facilities Management so we fortunately received this treat no less than once if not twice a month. This blessed celebration of an individual's birthday would not have occurred if it was not for Vickey's love for others. Lets also not forget her legendary enchiladas and rice. The best I have ever eaten and I will never forget the taste. I cannot help to think that all items she provided were so good not only by taste and talent, but also by the love she put into every dish provided. Vickey loved us all, and was always here for us as needed. It is my understanding this was the same caring and loving nature she exhibited to everyone in her life. What an amazing individual. The family and friends of Vickey are truly blessed and fortunate to have her in support of our lives. Vickey provided me, unconditional love. I thank her so much for being a part of me wanting to be a better individual, as Vickey provided the example in how to do so. I know she will be severely missed, and for me, I will never forget the positive impact she made and still makes in support of me as an individual and the College as a family.

With much love to all who were fortunate to have Vickey in their life,

Chris Snow (a forever friend of Vickey, her family, and friends).
