Obituary for William "Bill" Walter Day

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

William “Bill” Day, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend went home to be with his heavenly Father June 24, 2020. He was born to Louis William and Mary Edith Day in Perry, OK Sept 29, 1923. Bill attended Capitol Hill HS and at the age of 17 he traveled to Alaska to work with his dad in a logging camp. He was drafted into the military while in Alaska. He served in both the Army and Army Air Corp during WWII in the South Pacific Theater as a weapons mechanic. When he returned from the war he met the love of his life Frankie Pauline Allison. They were married July 23, 1947 and enjoyed 71 wonderful years together. Bill retired from SW Bell after over 30yrs of service. He and Frankie were long time members of NW Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife Frankie, daughter Diana Day, grandson Jacob Quinlan, both parents, 2 brothers, Robert and Louis, and 4 sisters, Beryl, Gayle, Nataline, and Joy. He is survived by son Bill Day (wife Rebecca), daughter Dayna King, and grandson Justin Day of the home, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Bill was loved and admired by all and he will be missed. We look forward to seeing him again, when we gather at the throne.
