Becca, I just heard of Bob's passing yesterday, and wish to express my condolences. I enjoyed working with Bob when he was at Mercy, and had many good conversations with him. Bob suggested the use of tenotomy scissors for Parotidectomy, and I employed the technique and taught it to others. As you obviously knew, there was more to Bob than many realized. In addition to an apparent pragmatic approach to life, he also was willing to hear others out. The days at Mercy were the best, enhanced by friends like Bob, you, and many others. Good medical care is probably available at many hospitals, but in my experience the comradery and mutual respect among us make our common experience special, and I truly thank God for it. I hope that your grief will gradually give way to the many memories you and the girls share. Regards, Ray Smith

Artist, friend, substitute teacher, parent, PTA leader, family man. Bob was a generous man. He shared his talents, his gifts and his skills. He volunteered long after his girls had left the school. He subbed for me when no one else would. As an art teacher, there is no better friend than Bob Coursey.
