Obituary for Michael Rapella

James Michael Rapella, 62, of Yukon, passed away on August 11, 2020. He was born on February 23, 1958 to James and Naomi (Lawson) Rapella, in Columbus, OH.

He grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was a great athlete that enjoyed all sports and played Pro-Baseball.
Michael was an entrepreneur with his hand in several businesses, Subway, Julianne’s Floral Design, Cupcake Heaven, Village Liquor, and part owner of multiple retail shopping centers.
Michael never met a stranger who did not become an instant friend. He enjoyed making people laugh and was well known for his stories of the past, and his ability to twist history just to get a smile. He was an avid Thunder fan and he loved watching OU Football with his son Matt on Saturdays. He loved lazy days at the beaches in Northern Florida. He was so excited to be a granddad and could not wait to “go outside and play.”

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Robyn; son and daughter –in-law Michael and Christina Rapella; son, Matthew Rapella; daughter, Julianne Rapella; a beautiful new granddaughter, Sloane; and his brother, Stuart Rapella.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father.

Memorial donations may be made to the Center of Family Love, 635 Texas Avenue, Okarche, OK 73762, which was very near and dear to his heart.
