Eddie Gene Brown was born in Hackett, Arkansas on December 17, 1939 to Jessie Lee and Katheryn (Luzak) Brown. He passed away on August 16, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Eddie was raised in Oklahoma City where he attended school. He played football and graduated from Capitol Hill High School, in 1958. He married the love of his life, Dorothy (Moore) Brown and to this union, they welcomed their son, Larry, into this world. Eddie and Dorothy were faithful members of Selecman United Methodist Church. He worked for Safeway Bread Company for 25 years and shortly after, he went to work for General Motors as a repairman, until his retirement. In his spare time, when he wasn’t at work, Eddie enjoyed watching sports. He was an avid fan of OU football and every other sport they had to offer. He proudly supported and cheered them on, no matter what the game was. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy Faye (Moore) Brown; sister, Mary Spitler and brother-in-law, Floyd Spitler. He is survived by his son, Larry Gene Brown, of Indiana; grandson, Josh Brown, of Illinois; and a great granddaughter expected this month; along with many nieces and nephews.
