For our family Vernon Jack & Alta Tean Woods/Baker as my mother Tean Woods/Baker was an Aunt to Billy as Woods side of family there were several & likely not sure how many actual on his wife's side family members whom dearly loved seeing & talking to Billy Lewis & family every time seen them for a vsit.
My father Jack & Tean Baker knew Billy as he was an infant living across the street in our local neighborhood as he believe back in mid 1950's or so had a Paper Route job done on his bicycle very early mornings seven day's a week as several did at his age when the Daily Oklahoman paper was popular.
After Billy done his school years I was told he started in the Uphostery Business types of work for many years as myself was only 5 years old & my sister Jackie Baker/Goucher in 1955 was the Flower Girl in the wedding for Billy & Jean Ann Lewis.
Billy & Jean Ann were always the idea family as they were blessed with their two son's & lived in Moore Oklahoma just few streets North of Billy's parents as they needed to expand more bedrooms for the boy's.
Finally decided to move on South a bit out of Moore to area know as Blue Lakes as hearing my parents talk about few larger spaces for the boy's to run & play with also a pond or small fishing area on back or part of the property as all family was busy daily working as years seem to burn away too fast for families to visit & just catch few photos maybe.
During those years Billy & Jean Ann's parents passed away as Billy started management of the Southgate Cleaners in Moore which his parents had started & operated for many years.
Southgate was a very busy demanding facility as they done clothes cleaning for public & facilities like Moore High School Band Uniforms & surely others too as operated pick-up & delivery by van services.
My sister Jackie Baker/Goucher worked at Southgate Cleaners during years Billy Lewis was manager as she had also with his parents so a lot of family memories there of daily modes knowing the public customers as happened for all.
Billy & Jean Ann Lewis finished putting their sons through school & on to their partial future needs before their retirement themselves there at their Blue Lakes family residence.
I knew also Jean Ann's mother somewhat while I was young as we visited her mother times in Oklahoma City as her father had passed away years prior I learned as getting older myself that her family originally from Davis Oklahoma as still believe she has relatives there still.
Billy Robert Lewis was always soft spoken kindly man to me & had a friendly smile to offer a positive conversation listening to what I or others said first before offering his comment to any subject or matter at hand.
Our family side always spoke of him as Billy Rob & instantly knew whom taking or referring to as he will forever missed but never forgotten as a favorite special memory to out family.
Billy is one of those favorite cousin's which can never say enough great things about as you'd just have to have lived our parts in life to understand all.
Rest in Peace Billy Robert Lewis & we Loved You.
