To the Family of Pat Diamond,
I had the absolute honor to be a student nurse learning life long lessons from this nursing treasure at Grace Hospital School of Nursing in the class of 1970. Pat was our surgical instructor and we loved, feared and respected her! I credit her with so much of what made me the nurse I was for 45 years and treasure the great memories of those 3 years of my life. I have to also include the two instructors listed here, Ardith and Greta, among those unforgettable women who touched so many lives and contributed to well trained nurses serving patients all over the country. Thank you for loaning us your Mom as she shepherded us through our education. She was simply an awesome person and I know I will never forget her influence! My deepest condolences to all of you.

To Pat's family
Words can not express the love, admiration, and respect that I have for Pat. We were on the same nursing faculty for years. I was always her "RD" . My name is Ardy and people would say Artie and I would say , no R D. We shared the same desire of excellence in teaching nursing theory and also the same birthday, March 9th. We loved celebrating together.
When my first child was born she needed to go to surgery on a Saturday morning. I called Pat and said they were rushing Jill to surgery . Her reply was immediate..I'll be there to hold her hand. We were so grateful our two day old baby had someone to hold her hand and watch over her. It's a story we've told our daughter all 50 birthdays of her life!
I always looked forward to her long newsy letters and beautiful cards. She loved her family and God with perfect devotion.
Pat is a person that people will remember the rest of their lives and be so grateful that she was in their life.
My deepest sympathies for your loss.
