Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday November 23, 2020 at Vondel Smith Mortuary South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western)

Joe went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born March 1, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK to Pascaul & Carmen Soliz. He was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Central H.S. until he was drafted into the United States Army in 1966. After he returned from service, he settled in Oklahoma City where he worked and raised his daughters. In 70’s Joe began a career as a custom printer, followed by a career in the plumbing industry, which enabled him to provide for his family. He enjoyed many different pastimes such as going to Mexican dances, listening to good music, and eating homestyle Mexican food. He loved sports, and coached baseball for the Big Brothers program, and was an avid OU football fan. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and a dear friend.
He is preceded in death by his:
Parents ~ Pascaul and Carmen (Franco) Soliz;
Brothers & Sisters ~ Jose Bustos and Manuel Bustos, Linda Alvarez,
Lupe Gonzales, Clyde Franco and Paschal Soliz.

He is survived by his family:
Brother ~ Tony Soliz Sr of Yukon, Oklahoma;
Sister ~ Mary Pratt of Austin, Texas;
Sister ~ Carmen Soliz of Oklahoma City;
Sister ~ Lucy Brown of Oklahoma City;
Daughter ~ Kimberly Bowman of Barnhart, Missouri;
Daughter ~ Tammy Gill of Yukon, Oklahoma;
Daughter ~ Joleen Contreras of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
As well as numerous grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A special thanks to Brandy, Joe’s granddaughter, for reading books to him, sitting by his bedside and comforting him, making him laugh and filling his heart with joy.
