Obituary for Betty Sue Hill

Viewing will be Sunday 12-8pm with family present from 2-3PM at the funeral home. Services to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 AM, Mon, Dec 14, 2020 at Capitol Hill Assembly of God, 2400 SW 74th, OKC, and and livestreamed at www.chaokc.com or on the church Facebook page. The graveside service will be 1:00 PM at Vamoosa Cemetery, Konawa, OK

Betty “Sue” Hill, 77, moved peacefully from this life on December 8, 2020 at home with her girls. She was born on October 29, 1943 to Dallas Andrew and Mildred Cleo (Turnbow) Blackwood. Sue Blackwood graduated from Southeast High School. She was married to Robert “Bob” Hill and from their union they were blessed with three daughters. Sue enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting and sending greeting cards and was a faithful member of Capitol Hill Assembly of God for many years and loved attending Ladies Bible Study on Tuesday mornings and volunteering with Royal Family Kids Camp 118. In addition to her work as a homemaker and mother, she worked for Moore Public Schools where she started as a crosswalk guard, Indian tutor, media assistant, office assistant, and ended her service as a principal’s secretary at Plaza Towers Elementary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert William Hill, and sister, Alice Jackson. She is survived by her daughters, DeVonna Landrum and husband, Ron, Alana Hill, Karie Hill; brother, Albert Blackwood; sister, Linda Malone; sister-in-law Frances Hill and a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends of all ages. Sue had a life-long friend, Iris (Blackwell) Irwin that she considered part of her family.
