Mary Lynn Akin went to be with our Lord & Savior on December 23, 2020. She was born in Saigon, Vietnam to her parents James Washington Jackson and Xuan Thi Jackson. In 1988 the family moved to Oklahoma where she spent much of her life. She graduated from Moore High School and began a career in accounting services and was promoted as the Marketing Director for a physical therapy center. Later in life Mary found her calling as the Secretary to the Title 1 Coordinator for Moore Public Schools. When she was 21 years old she met Randy Akin and the two married on August 20, 1994. Mary was a devout wife, mother, grandmother (MiMi), sister and friend. She loved without measure, her selflessness was felt by everyone that was lucky enough to have met her. She was the rock for Randy, the moon and stars to her grandbaby Kya and Son Zakiry, the confidant to her step-children, the core to her sisters and a servant to God. Mary was a walking testimony to living life to the fullest, whether it was pool side, cycling, destinations far away or just sitting next to you talking about life. She was the light in the darkest places and the hope of a brighter day in the face of evil or dismay. She poured her heart and soul into everyone around her, whether it was a birthday, holiday or a friendiversary. She had the style and charisma that rivaled no other, in which all of her grandchildren benefitted from. Her life will be celebrated to the last breath of every friend and family member and she will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Parents, and one brother Hieu Kieu.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her:

Extended Family: Sharon & Ben Bruehl, Mike & Teresa Palpant, Sandra Johnson, Rick Minchew, Judy Duffy, Jason Bruehl, Tricia McWhorter, Stephanie Maxwell, and Justin Palpant, as well as many other family members and dear friends.
