Obituary for Eddie Ray Tyler

Eddie Ray Tyler, 87, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away December 25, 2020. He was born November 12, 1933 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to William and Eunice Tyler. He married the love of his life, Kay Hacker on May 31, 1951 and from their union they were blessed with 4 children, Karen, Mike, Cindy and Laura. Growing up Eddie attended school in Mountain Park and Snyder, Oklahoma. Eddie held many titles throughout his working and military careers. In 1951, he was enlisted in the United States Navy where he served 4 years during the Korean War. He also drove a big rig truck following his time at diesel mechanic school and he completed income tax school and went on to work with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in the motor vehicle division. He retired as an Oklahoma State Officer after 20 years. Eddie was a family man who would do anything “legal” to provide for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
