Viewing for Ms. Proffer will be 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the day of the service.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2021 in the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK.

Kay Frances Proffer was born December 19, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Cecil and Mildred Clara (Cox) Proffer. She graduated from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, January 3, 2021. Kay was a long time resident of Oklahoma City. She worked part time at the family cleaners on South Robinson. Kay eventually went to work in the Oil and Gas industry, working at Demco. She started out as a switchboard operator and transitioned into a secretarial and receptionist position. Kay attended CHA for many years, starting at what old-timers call the "old church" on South Harvey. She was an avid follower and collector of all things Native American. Kay regularly attended the Red Earth Festival with friends, Tommie Steddum and Patsy Meador, enjoying the dancing as well as the artistry and skills there. She was a friend of many artists and especially treasured her friendship with the Tiger family. Her gentle spirit and eagerness to share her love for her Lord were evident to everyone she met.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives and friends.

She is survived by her dear friend, Cathy White and her husband, Forrest and numerous church family and friends.
