Judy Carol Bird, beloved wife, mother, Meme, aunt and friend, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the age of 74. The daughter of William Perry and Lorene (Haley) Rycroft, Judy was born on November 17, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Judy was a proud Capitol Hill High School Redskin, graduating in 1965. She met the love of her life, Robert A. Bird and the two were united in marriage on September 7, 1965. This union of marriage was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Julie. In addition to being a loving wife and devoted mother, Judy was a proud hairdresser for 52 years. For many years she owned and operated Blackwelder Coiffures where she made lifelong friends who she considered her extended family. Judy lived everyday of her life to its fullest but her most cherished time was that spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Brother, Larry Wayne “Butch” Rycroft;
Nephews: Randel Joe Melton and David Allen Melton;
As well as many other family.
She leaves behind her loving family:
Husband of 55 years, Robert Bird;
Daughter, Julie Allen and her husband, Brian;
Granddaughter, Haley Allen and her fiancé, Tayler Laubach;
Great Nieces & Great Nephews: Patricia Graham and husband, Gerad and Robert Melton and wife, Rebecca;
Great-Great Nieces and Great-Great Nephews: Dalton Graham, J.J. Fullagar, Gracelynn Graham, Brooklyn Melton, Rawling Melton, and Aiden Kern;
Many other close family and friends.
