Viewing will be Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM and Tues. from 12:00-8:00 PM. Services to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM Wed., Dec. 2, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1032 NW 12th St., Moore, OK with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Dixie Ann (Hammond) Manek went to be with the Lord on Nov, 25, 2015 at the age of 75. She was born April 24, 1940 in OKC,OK to Benjamin & Ruby (Kothmann) Hammond. Dixie married Edward Manek on Jan. 23, 1960 and had 55 wonderful years together. Dixie was employed for many years as the office manager for CMC Construction Services. After retiring, Dixie found great joy volunteering in her daughter’s second grade classroom. The Children affectionately called her “Mrs. Dixie”. She loved to read, sit outside by her pond, and above all spend time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents; she is survived by husband; son, Steven Manek & wife, Tina; daughters, Dee Ann Moran & husband, David, & Jody Maxey & husband, Tal; sisters, Terry Wynn, Sandy Haggard, & Toni Hammond; grandchildren, Brett & Lindsey Moran & Tristan & Ethan Manek; and numerous other loving extended family members and friends.
