Randy, 66, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2016. The son of Loyd M. & Mary Patricia (Farley) Cook, Randy was born Nov 28, 1949 in OKC. Randy grew up in the MWC area graduating from Midwest City High School and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma. He married Carol (George) Shuman on June 12, 1981 in McAlester, OK. Randy began his federal service career in 1978 at Savanna, Illinois as a Quality Assurance Specialist Ammunition Surveillance (QASAS) intern. After completing training he was transferred to McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. During his career there, he served as the Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Logistics Operations, and Director of Ammunition Operations, before retiring in 2008. Randy also served for eight years as a member and president of the Frink Chambers Elementary School Board. In his spare time, Randy enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing. He was a lifelong OU Sports Fan, and especially loved following OU football. Randy’s most precious moments were those spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his loving spirit, kindness and generosity. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Steven Cook. Randy is survived by his wife, Carol; son: Bryan Shuman; daughters: Sandy Lindley & husband, Trent and Amanda Everett & husband, Heath Toon; brothers: David Cook & wife, Sharon and Rick Cook & wife, Nita; 13 Grandchildren: Kirsty Cook, Jaycee Cook, Darcey Shuman, Mackenzie Phillips & husband, Kaleb, Zachary Lindley, Trevor Lindley, Bryce Shuman, Chandler Shuman, Jaievyn Shuman, Taylor Higgins, Eli Toon, Tracy Toon & Ryan Toon; 5 great grandchildren; and many other loving family & friends.
