Wanda Lou Asséo went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 85. Wanda was born November 20, 1930 in Wayne, Oklahoma to her parents, Lester and Gladys (Drummond) May. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School. On February 1, 1952, Wanda married her sweetheart, Sam Asséo at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church and together shared more than 59 years of marriage and family before Sam’s passing on December 5, 2011. Being an Airforce Officer’s wife meant Wanda and the family lived and traveled all over the world, including Greenland, Panama, and many different places in the United States. Wanda dedicated her life to providing a warm and comfortable home for family and was a devoted wife and mother. She was also member of the Officers Wives Club at Tinker Air Force Base for many years. Wanda was known for her outstanding cooking and enjoyed diners with her friends. In her free time, Wanda was also an avid golfer and loved sewing. A longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Wanda loved and served the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She will be deeply missed.

Son, Roger Asséo and his wife, Carroll of Moore, Oklahoma
Daughter, Laurie Asséo and her husband, Michael Sniffen of Washington, DC
Siblings: Jacquie Cheatham of Oklahoma City, Bob May of Blanchard and Sandy Wright of Oklahoma City
Granddaughter, Jessie Asséo;
Great Grandson, Judah Bouskila;
Nieces & Nephews: Donna Sadler, Kathi Cheatham and Lisa Carlson, Scott May and Steve May
Many other loving family and friends.
