John was a dear childhood friend. Such a wonderful, gentle, funny man. We went to school together, played baseball and many games of football at John’s House. John was athletic and played many sports. He was the pitcher for our little league McKinley Sissortales ball team. His dad was an assistant coach and his mom was our Cub Scout co- den mother with Jimmy Birdsongs mom Martha. John was a great friend thru high school.
