Harold Dene Rains, 83, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born November 20, 1934 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Marshall Henderson & Lois Wilma (Stidham) Rains. Harold retired from the US Postal Service. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was active in the base chapel wherever he was stationed. He never went anywhere that he didn’t see someone he knew. Harold was a long time member of Shartel Church of God and lived his Christian faith every day. Harold loved his family unconditionally. He always had a smile on his face and a ready hug. Preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Darold Rains. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Rains; son, Bryant Rains and wife Cathey; daughters, Stacy Pacheco and husband Vince and Stephany Gooden husband John; grandchildren, Emily & Steven Ligon, Leah & Scott Patton, Olivia Rains, Marshall Rains & Fiance Danica Brown, Madelyn & Blaene Taylor, Rachel & Jake Hobby, and Vincent Pacheco; great-grandchildren, Keith Ligon, Conley Ligon, Claire Ligon, Canaan Ligon, Kayte Ligon, Cary Ligon and Grady Patton; other relatives, friends and Church family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Craig Engles. Memorials may be made to Shartel Church of God Youth Building.
