Your passing has left a huge void in our lives. I was so proud of having you as my uncle. One of my favorite childhood memories was being at Granny's house and having you play games with us such as "Duck, Duck, Goose." After my mom died you and Aunt Jean were so kind to me and you often let me stay at your house in Ada. After my dad died a few years ago you became like a surrogate father. We loved your stories of the war and your teaching experiences, but my favorites were the ones about how you courted Aunt Jean. Your devotion to her was one of the most touching things I have ever witnessed. Our family will cherish your memory and love and miss you forever.
